Family Counseling
The relationship’s within our family unit is a large contributor to our psychological wellbeing. Think about it. We are out in the world dealing with difficulties, work and school stress, deadlines, and todo’s everyday.

“In family life, love is the oil that eases friction, the cement that binds closer together, and the music that brings harmony.”
– Friedrich Nietzsch
Coming home to family is where we most need and want to be accepted, cared for, and comforted. Home is a place of safety. It is a place where we can be ourselves, show who we are at our core, and feel safe enough to connect.
When we find ourselves in conflict and lacking connection in the place where we go to be ourselves, it can be very painful. Emotions can run high because it feels dangerous when we argue with our loved ones who mean the most to us.
Family therapy is a place that provides a supportive, safe environment where each member can have a voice. It is a place to be heard by an impartial listener and guided through the disruption in the family system that is causing pain and creating stress. Families can be a difficult dynamic to navigate. It is a complex system with patterns of engagement that can be hard to figure out. Family therapy can nurture change and development.
